This time last year—August 2020! Ok… maybe I’m a little late this time, but time is kind of blurry these days, right?

It was Afton’s first time ever not having a bunch of people gather to celebrate her birthday, but we managed to make it special nonetheless, and she was a great sport about it.

Time really has been so blurry ever since March 2020. Was this really more than a year ago?! I look forward to a time when I look back at these photos and feel like it was a different time instead of a twilight zone where time doesn’t behave normally.. I wish that was happening now, but believing that it will happen at all feels like serious faith at this point. In any case, documenting and sharing these weird seasons is helping me (try to) make sense of our place in the world, and I’m thankful for that opportunity.
