A Nautical Visit to New Orleans

There are few things that Alex loves more than tall ships, so when he heard that six of them were docked in New Orleans, he was eager to make a day trip to see them! First things first, though… we “filled up at Billups” in Biloxi on the way, and it was yummy!

Tall ship time! There were a LOT of people vying for a spot aboard a ship, so we opted not to wait in the the long lines and just admired these beauties from the shore, but it was still quite enjoyable!

We didn’t even realize ahead of time that there was also a navy ship, the Kearsarge, open for tours! There wasn’t much of a wait for this one since it is SO GIGANTIC. This tour was a pleasant surprise that we enjoyed a lot!

Of course, you can’t leave NOLA without eating, so we headed to Cochon, which was as tasty as ever.

Any other locals go see these ships? What did you think? (Stay tuned for more Miller family adventures coming soon!)
